ONYE IBEKWE
Born to Nigerian parents, of Igbo decent--Onye Ibekwe is no rookie to cultural values while holding a spotlight! Having grown up in Los Angeles California, Onye always found himself delegated as the star amongst any group or organization he has ever been a part of. As a stand out triathlete in High School, Onye received a number of full scholarship offers to play Division-I Basketball for top programs in the country nearly a year before his HS Graduation. After a stellar high school career, Onye earned a full-ride scholarship to Oklahoma State University, and later transferred to Long Beach State University where he completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology.
Following the completion of a prosperous basketball run at Long Beach State University, Onye was signed by the San Francisco 49ERS after crashing a few very successful NFL workouts. Proceeding his time with the 49ERS, Onye found himself back at his passion for basketball, having played professionally overseas for nearly a decade in 7 different countries. As an international athlete, Onye contributed his spare time to the local communities of these 7 countries, as a training & skills camp coordinator for youth basketball.
Now as a retired professional athlete, Onye still commits himself to the world of sports, by lending his expertise as both a Coach and Fitness Mentor to people of all ages.
In addition to sports leadership, Onye has found a career in entertainment, where he produces his own live performance events, and has been perfecting his craft in acting and talent on the rise.
Onye is very confident that he is truly prepared to burst into new greatness with so much to offer the world.
FUN FACT:
Onye is the eldest amongst his 3 siblings Ekene, Chinyere, and Ify--in which they have all also achieved full-ride basketball scholarships to major Division-I universities. Just like their big brother all of his siblings have embarked on professional basketball careers --with 2 of them having been Olympian Athletes for the Nigeria Tigers Basketball teams.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS - TIGHT END
After the conclusion of his final senior year season of basketball at Long Beach State, Onye found himself at a local prospect workout for a number of NFL teams. Although Onye was in the process of preparing himself for the the NBA draft, he felt in his heart that he just may have a shot at professional football. Having hadn't played football since over 5 years prior, some speculated on if Onye would be a viable competitor with college football prospects. However, Onye showed up and showed out, proving them wrong. Reluctantly, after great execution of the skills tests, he was then selected by the San Francisco 49ERS.
